Sony Xperia Ion is the first production Android smartphone from Sony under the brand Sony without Ericsson. As we all know Sony has officially split with Ericsson. Smartphone is on display at CES, January 2012.

Sony Xperia Ion  has a rear camera 12 Megapixel and 1.3 Megapixel front camera. Sony claimed, this Xperia Ion can take pictures in just 1.5 seconds from standby mode.

Sony Xperia Ion armed by the 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and running with Gingerbread Android 2.3 operating system and equipped with 16GB of storage memory. Sony will upgrade the operating system on the Sony Xperia Ion using Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, in the first quarter of 2012.

Through  Sony Xperia Ion, Sony still embrace the gamers with PlayStation give certificate on the smartphone, as well as access to PlayStation app store.
