Galaxy Nexus Blocked Sales, Samsung Filing Appeals

galaxy nexus vs apple Galaxy Nexus Blocked Sales, Samsung Filing Appeals

Samsung Galaxy Nexus blocked sales in the United States by the courts for allegedly violating patents owned by Apple. Samsung did not stay silent and immediately filed an appeal.

Reported by Cnet, Monday (07/02/2012), the judge Lucky Koh granted the Apple request to ban the gadgets. Blocking can be done after Apple paying $ 96 million bail.

The Galaxy Nexus allegedly infringing four patents Apple. That is related to the ability to find information from different sources through a single user interface, slide to unlock, a word suggestions on touch screen and linking actionable technology.

The court said, if the Galaxy Nexus still sold, it can cause harm to Apple because it threatens its market share. However, Samsung judge court’s decision was unfounded and asked for the ban the product postponed.

“The findings of the court that Apple will suffer from inadequate evidence that Apple and Samsung is a competitor. The court order is not consistent with federal court instruction that the loss of market share must have a compelling reason,” said a spokesman for Samsung.

Previously, Apple also managed to ban the marketing of tablet computer’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 U.S. and now Galaxy Nexus. Apple indeed has long tried to block a variety of products made by Samsung that violates the patent. Apple recently also has required the blocking of the Samsung Galaxy S3.
